Bristol Bay Price & Services Report

Click HERE to help BBRSDA report information about price and services offered in the 2022 season, and for a chance to win $200 at LFS or SeaMar.

The BBRSDA is launching a Fleet Price & Services Report to increase transparency, provide competitive market information, and support business planning efforts for our members. This report will catalog processor prices and services, based on survey data from fishermen as well as processors who choose to participate.

Gathering and providing this market information on an ongoing basis is an excellent way to ensure fishermen are receiving competitive terms from their market. This is your survey!

Note: BBRSDA board/staff will not have access to personal survey data. All data received by BBRSDA will be aggregated, averaged, and provided without personal identifiers. Completed surveys will automatically be entered into a drawing for $200 gift certificates to LFS and SeaMar. Click HERE to access the survey, which should take less than 10 minutes and closes November 1, 2022.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who is this survey for?

A: ALL Bristol Bay S03T permit holders.

Q: Who is conducting the survey and gathering information?

A: BBRSDA is partnering with Ocean Strategies to help conduct this survey and aggregate results. The Ocean Strategies team has extensive experience in Bristol Bay, and the firm has conducted multiple surveys across the seafood industry, including economic impacts of Covid-19 to West Coast fishermen and distributors nationwide.

Q: Will this data be kept confidential, and how will it be used?

A: YES When providing this data, no identifiers will be reported, results will be aggregated, and the information will only be used to understand price and services for the 2022 Bristol Bay season.

Q: Are processors being asked to participate?

A: YES. BBRSDA sent a similar survey to the eight major processors in Bristol Bay. Processing companies are under no obligation to share this data, which is why we are crowdsourcing information from fishermen.

Q: How will results be verified?

A: We will compare results from a similar survey sent to processors with non-attributable results gathered from fishermen. The report will clearly identify which sector information is being sourced from (fleet, processor, or both).

Q: Where can I find the report, and will it be updated?

A: We will post the report to the BBRSDA website during Pacific Marine Expo. We will update the report and post it to our website (bbrsda.com) as often as possible.
