The 2024 photo contest is LIVE!
Photographs and videos submitted to the BBRSDA may be shown around the world representing Bristol Bay’s high quality, sustainable and delicious sockeye salmon and the story of how these fish come to market. We are looking for content that tells the story of Bristol Bay’s amazing fishery by depicting sustainable and abundant harvests, quality fishing practices, and delicious preparation of fish.

The overall winning photo gets $500
First place photo in each category wins $250
Second through fifth place in each category wins $100
2024 Categories:
Sockeye Salmon- Fresh beautiful fish on deck or your favorite salmon recipe on the plate
Action- The Bristol Bay fishery is non-stop lets see that fish-picking, boat-driving, net-setting ACTION!
Community- Let’s see your crew, your fish kiddos, your elders, your traditions.
People- Fish people!
Landscape & Nature- Show us the wildlife, the landscapes, the waves and the sunsets!

Think about negative space in your photos, include some of that endless sky or include space around the subject of your photo.

The Bristol Bay Regional Seafood Development Association (BBRSDA) neither assumes nor bears any responsibility for any form or type of loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of participating in the BBRSDA Photo Contest and receiving of awards and/or prizes. Content of all images submitted is the responsibility of each entrant. It is the responsibility of each entrant to obtain all relevant model and/or property releases. By submitting images each entrant assures that all images are their original works and no copyright and/or trademark infringement rights have been violated. It is not the responsibility of BBRSDA to obtain model and/or property release forms or to assure/examine protection of trademark infringement rights.
BBRSDA reserves the right to free reproduction and altering of entered images in all media and the right to provide all entered images to BBRSDA members and promotional partners around the world for the purpose of marketing Bristol Bay seafood products. For each entered image BBRSDA will have unlimited, non-exclusive usage rights in perpetuity for all formats and in all locations.
BBRSDA reserves the right to cancel or suspend the contest if it is not capable of continuing as planned for any reason that is beyond the control of BBRSDA. BBRSDA reserves the right to make modifications to the Rules. Changes made to the contest will be posted on this web page in the Official Rules section.
Members of BBRSDA’s board, committees or staff or their immediate family members are not permitted to participate in the photo contest.
