July 13 - Bristol Bay Harvest Charts

The 2021 Bristol Bay sockeye harvest stands at 33.5 million fish through July 13. The Nushagak and Ugashik Districts are well above their average harvest pace. Naknek-Kvichak is about equal to the previous 5-year average, while Egegik is below its average harvest. The harvest was 2.41 million fish yesterday, which is about 670,000 fish higher than the average July 13 harvest and bigger than any July 13th harvest registered in each of the past five years. Ugashik harvests have come on very strong in recent days with fishermen averaging more than 2,000 fish per delivery from July 11-13.

The charts below illustrate the cumulative harvests through the previous day, compared to the prior five-year average for Bristol Bay as a whole and by fishing district (note: Togiak is excluded because data is often confidential, leading to incomplete time series).
