Net Recycling RFP Now Open

BBRSDA is pleased to announce it is now accepting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to develop and execute a net recycling program in Bristol Bay. Recycling old fishing nets is a fitting and timely sustainability goal for the fishery. BBRSDA’s Board of Directors and its members have expressed support for proactively addressing the issue of how to deal with old nets. Our goal with this pilot program is to advance the fishery’s net recycling effort in a fashion that addresses known challenges (such as stripping twine off nets) and creates an efficient/repeatable process to set up a net recycling program for future success.

All interested and capable parties are encouraged to respond. BBRSDA will begin reviewing proposals after March 1, 2020. Please see the RFP posting for details:
