Seafood Trade Relief Program (STRP) Deadline Extended to January 15th

On December 3rd the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a one-month extension to the signup period for the Seafood Trade Relief Program, which supports the U.S. seafood industry and fishermen impacted by retaliatory tariffs from foreign governments. Fishermen can now signup for the program through January 15, 2021.

Though this program, fishermen can receive $0.16 per pound on their 2019 salmon landings. You need to have documentation, such as an end of season statement for your 2019 harvest.
Other species are also eligible for those who participate in other fisheries, the list of per pound payments for other species can be found here.
